Scope of Basic Legislative & Governmental Representation:

Assisting in development and prioritization of a list of key legislative agenda items with regard to which Capitol Solutions will actively represent the Client by advocating for or against such items in a particular legislative session;

Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on proposed legislation during the legislative session on items of interest to the Client, including preparing written reports and/or summaries as requested by the Client;

Lobbying for or against particular bills or amendments as identified in conjunction with the Client;

Shepherding appropriations items through the budget process;

Drafting legislation and amendments along with “white papers” explaining such legislation and/or amendments;

Developing coalitions and working with opposition to mediate workable solutions;

Working closely with the executive branch and legislative leadership to advance the Clients position on legislative matters;

Provide feedback to the Client on the progress of legislative package and notification of any meetings that the Client needs to attend to show strong support on critical issues that warrant strong support;

Offer assistance with issues relating to the Federal Government as requested by the Client;

Assist the Client in other related duties as requested by the Client.

Scope of Basic Administrative and Regulatory Representation:

Monitoring, reviewing and timely reporting on administrative and regulatory developments, including providing the Client with weekly summaries in writing of any administrative and /or regulatory developments based upon weekly review of Florida Administrative Law Weekly;

Provide basic interpretations regarding legislation, regulation and/or agency rulings upon request of the Client and attending any rulemaking and/or workshops of interest of the Client.

Attendance at Meetings And Conferences:

Attend and participate in any Board meeting or Committee meeting of the Client as requested;

Attend and participate in all legislative delegation meetings;

Attend and participate in any conferences deemed appropriate by the Client.
