Patrick has lobbied the Florida Legislature on issues such as claim bills, health care, criminal justice, education, cultural affairs, local governments, and appropriation issues for the past 15 years. He has worked on and passed many pieces of legislation for his clients and has been very successful in getting appropriation issues funded for his clients. He is responsible for all facets of Capitol Solutions daily business functions such as accounting, tracking client issues, event coordinating and coordinating campaign efforts. Prior to becoming a partner in Capitol Solutions, Patrick lobbied for the firm of Lamonica and Bell for ten years. He was employed by the Florida Parole Commission for three years as legislative liaison/Supervisor of Purchasing and Central Services, and was responsible for developing and producing the Commission’s annual report to the cabinet and legislature. The most challenging aspect of Patrick’s tenure with the Parole Commission was to keep the Legislature from abolishing the Commission during both the 1996 and 1997 Regular Sessions bills. He was one of the first 20 people to be hired at the Florida Lottery during its inception and worked there for seven years as a Lottery Supervisor I in charge Retail Applications Data Entry and was promoted to a Games Management Specialist overseeing the nightly draws and setting the games to pay. During Patrick Service to the Florida Lottery he was award Employee of the Month and given three merit pay raise. The Florida Automotive Trades Association awarded Patrick the highest honor of Paragon Award which has never been given to a non-member at their annual convention in 2005.
